Magic Box
We were asked to design a series of posters for the Magic Box – Soundouk el Ferje, a project aimed at encouraging young Lebanese artists to get creatively engaged in Children’s Theater. Soundouk el Ferje is one of the oldest celebrational activities, where images of traditional arabian stories are illustrated and mounted on rotating cylinders inside a closed box. The box has small openings where children gather to watch the illustration rolls while a storyteller narrates.
Based on that concept, we designed a logo as well as a series of posters where the typography mimics the openings in the magic box. It is through the title that you glimpse at elements of the story.
